Crépuscule – Brasserie du Bas-Canada & Off Script Brewing's DIPA with Peacharine, Riwaka & Kohia Nelson
Crépuscule — French for "twilight" — is an Imperial / Double IPA born from the collaboration between Québec's Brasserie du Bas-Canada and Off Script Brewing. The trio of hop varieties Peacharine, Riwaka, and Kohia Nelson gives this beer an aromatic profile as warm and layered as a summer evening sky: ripe peach and nectarine from the Peacharine, vibrant tropical fruit and citrus from the Riwaka, and the resinous, hop-intense depth of the Kohia Nelson. At 8.2% ABV, Crépuscule sits firmly in DIPA territory while never sacrificing approachability.
What makes this beer so captivating is its flowing, juicy character — fruity and inviting from the very first sip, with a pleasant hop bitterness that only reveals itself in the finish, rounding the beer out beautifully. The pairing of New Zealand hop varieties with the characterful Peacharine produces a DIPA with genuine depth and personality — a beer best enjoyed at dusk, when the day quietly fades away.
