Brauerei Hummel from Franconia

Restaurant, beer garden, best Lager beer: Brauerei Hummel from Merkendorf, located northeast of Bamberg, stands like many other great breweries from the region for hospitality and Franconian beer culture.

The brewery has been family-owned since 1846. However, the brewery has existed much longer, since the 16th century to be exact. Hummel is firmly rooted in Franconia. This is evident not only in their long brewing history, but also in the production of their beers.

Hummel's beers are brewed exclusively with natural raw materials. The hops come from the Hallertau region, the malt from local grains. The brewery obtains its brewing water from its own deep well.

In addition to classics such as Kellerbier, Märzen, Räucherla, Pilsner and Weissbier, the Hummel brewery also offers a number of seasonal specialties such as Bockbiere (light and dark), Rauchbier and Festbier.

The absolute flagship is the Kellerbier. It convinces with its soft body, a slightly sweet aroma and a wonderful balance. Insanely drinkable!
