A Belgian classic and great beer
Oerbier means "original" and was the first beer De Dolle launched. It is a Belgian Strong Ale - in other words, the stronger version of a Belgian Pale Ale. The Oerbier offers a particularly exciting aromatic blend of sour cherries, sweet malt, sherry ripeness, hop aroma, wild berries, spices, caramel and port. A beer that could well age for several years in the cellar to bring out the special character of the Dolle house yeast. As if that were not enough, the beer is fermented with lactic acid bacteria. After a few years, the Oerbier tastes as if it has been blended with wine, making it a very special experience even for die-hard craft beer experts.
