Summer: A Gruit Saison brewed with wormwood from the Münsterland!
In the summer Kemker Kultuur have harvested wormwood, an herb that has been an integral part of Gruit blends for beers for many centuries. Wormwood gives this Gruit fresh citrus notes, tart hints and a pleasant bitterness. Ten months of barrel aging in red wine barrels and fermentation with the house culture of different yeasts round out the flavor of this Gruit.
The Summer is part of Kemker Kultuur's Seasonal Gruit series - each season is represented by an herb in the beer.
