Barrel aged Sour Ale with fantastic white wine notes!
The base beer is aged for five months in red wine barrels. Then it is aged for two months on the pomace of Silvaner grapes. After the fruit and beer are separated, the beer got another five months to age in red wine barrels. The result is a wonderfully round, yet complex beer with hints - in addition to white wine - of pear, funk, wood, apple, resin and flowers. Mildly sour.
The grapes come from Franconian winemaker Andi Weigand.
