Belgian Ale with plums, aged in three different barrels!
This beer is a blend of one part Dubbel, one part Quadrupel and one part Bigfoot Barley Wine. This blend was then aged in red wine, brandy and bourbon barrels. The late addition of prunes accentuates esters from the Belgian yeasts.
The Trip in the Woods: Visions Of Sugar Plums impresses with its intense barrel-aged notes, light tannins, and bold malt flavors of caramel, rye bread, and natural plums, to no end. A great beer!
