The brewery near Göteborg was founded in 2012 under the name Poppelmans, but was then renamed Poppels due to looming litigation. In the last five years, it has been easy to make a name for itself in the high-quality Swedish brewery scene. In 2017, Poppels brewed about 30,000 liters of beer per month.
