Italian craft beer is booming. Some breweries are already known throughout Europe for their beers. Some of the hottest craft beer festivals in Europe take place in Italy. And: Some of the best IPAs in Europe come from Italy right now, more precisely from the CRAK brewery.

Italian Craft Beer at its best: CRAK

The CRAK brewery from the Veneto region lives and breathes craft beer. Around the brewery grows the grain from which the brewing malt is later made. In orchards, they grow different fruits for their sour beers. They grow hops themselves. Here, quality is short-circuited with regionality and sustainability.

The NEIPAs and Double IPAs are currently among the best beers of these styles currently brewed in Europe. The best ingredients, freshness and craftsmanship go hand in hand here.

An important beer style from Italy: Italian Grape Ale

Many Italian breweries brew craft beer with local ingredients. One ingredient present more often in the Mediterranean country than in others is different grapes. This later even gave rise to an independent beer style: Italian Grape Ale (IGA). The Ca' del Brado brewery from the northern Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, for example, is famous for these beers.
