A real milestone in the history of Giesinger Bräu!
Until recently, only six Munich breweries were authorized to brew a "Münchner Hell". The reason for this was strict EU law: a Münchner Hell must be brewed using Munich water and Munich air, the original gravity must be between 11.4 and 11.9 percent and the alcohol content must be between 4.7 and 5.4 percent. The IBU value must be between 14 and 25. Since 2020 Giesinger has its own deep well on the company premises in Feldmoching, the young Munich brewery fulfills all the conditions and is therefore brewery number 7 with its own "Münchner Hell".
