Since 1996, Tripel Karmeliet has been brewed by Brouwerij Bosteels in Belgium. Based on a recipe from 1679, it even won the award for the best ale in the world at the World Beer Awards 2008. What makes this tripel special is the composition of the malts, which, in addition to the classic barley malt, also includes wheat and oats. Tripel Karmeliet is a very balanced and harmonious beer. The lightness and freshness of the wheat malt and the creaminess of the oats create a fine silkiness.
