Chimay Blue is the strongest beer from this brewery. The aroma of fresh yeast is supported by an aromatically intense body, with a floral, gentle aroma in the nose. The taste is slightly peppery with pleasant roasted notes from the malt, cocoa, and an almost port wine-like character can be found in Chimay Blue. It is the classic among Chimay beers. Traditionally bottle-conditioned, this beer ages wonderfully for years at cellar temperatures.
