Cantillon Gueuze

The Gueuze from perhaps the most authentic Lambic Brewery of all: Brasserie Cantillon. It is a blend of one-, two-, and three-year-old Lambic that undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle. While the mature, three-year-old Lambic adds funky wild aromas to the beer, the "young" one-year-old Lambic provides the necessary fruity freshness and bottle conditioning. From the blended Lambic, the carbonated Gueuze can emerge. The pleasantly fresh acidity and fruitiness blend excellently with the bitter notes of the wild yeast and the wooden barrel. This beer also ages wonderfully in the bottle, making longer storage at home sensible.
