Brasserie Cantillon – Iconic brewery of traditional Lambic and Gueuze in Brussels

Founded in 1900 in Brussels, Brasserie Cantillon is one of Belgium’s oldest and most renowned breweries, dedicated to crafting traditional Lambic, Gueuze, and Kriek beers. As a fifth-generation family business, Cantillon preserves a nearly extinct brewing tradition of spontaneous fermentation, which forms the heart of Belgian sour beer culture.

Cantillon produces exclusively handcrafted, spontaneously fermented beers, aged over long periods in large oak foeders. Classics like Gueuze Lambic, Kriek Lambic, and the exceptional Rosé de Gambrinus showcase a unique balance of fruity acidity, complex depth, and natural freshness. The brewery uses only natural ingredients and avoids any artificial additives.

Brasserie Cantillon is a living piece of Belgian beer history and a pilgrimage site for lovers of authentic sour beers worldwide. With its unwavering commitment to traditional methods and sustainable craftsmanship, Cantillon is a true icon of the European craft beer scene.
