Chimay Rouge appears coppery in the glass and captivates with fruity aromas of apricot jam and candied fruits. Chimay's own yeast develops a wonderful balance of spices and fruits, beautifully captured in this slightly darker beer. It has a light sweetness from caramel and a subtle bitterness from the hops. Traditionally bottle-conditioned. For many, the best Dubbel of all time.
