When the Latvian wizards from Ārpus Brewing Co. team up with the guys from Boiler Brewing Company, you know something monumental is about to hit your glass. The Vanilla x Hazelnut Imperial Stout is a prime example of a sinfully intense Pastry Stout. Boasting a massive 13.5% ABV, this beer offers an enormous body that coats the palate like melting dark chocolate. At its heart are aromatic, toasted hazelnuts and a fine, elegant hint of real vanilla, adding a creamy sweetness to the massive malt backbone.

The texture is oily, pitch black, and almost reminiscent of a decadent chocolate cake fresh from the oven. While the roasted malts provide nuances of espresso and cocoa, the vanilla notes perfectly balance the bitterness. This Imperial Stout is not a thirst quencher, but a true sensory experience for cozy evenings. We recommend enjoying it not too cold – at around 12-14°C, the nutty aromas unfold best.
