Important: You will never find expired beer in our shop! Also: breweries give different best-before dates for their beers. And it's clear that fresher is better. But if a beer is close to its best-before date – or even past it – that doesn't mean it's no longer drinkable or doesn't taste good anymore. A lot depends on the style of beer. Hoppy beers are more sensitive to the ageing process, while dark, strong and wild beers are less sensitive and can even gain character over time.
