Airplane Mode – FUERST WIACEK's DDH Hazy IPA from Berlin with Citra & Amarillo

Airplane Mode by FUERST WIACEK from Berlin is a Double Dry Hopped New England / Hazy IPA at 6.8% ABV, built around one of the most classic and consistently compelling hop pairings in American craft beer: Citra and Amarillo. Two varieties that have spoken for themselves for decades — and in the hands of FUERST WIACEK, come together to produce something genuinely exceptional. Citra delivers its unmistakable spectrum of radiant grapefruit, lime, and passion fruit, while Amarillo steers the profile in a warmer, more inviting direction with its characteristic orange zest, blossom aroma, and an almost honeyed peach note. The DDH process concentrates both varieties to their fullest potential, producing a beer that is simultaneously bright-citrusy and warmly floral — juicy, creamy, and with a long, aromatically satisfying finish.

What makes Airplane Mode so compelling is the timeless strength of this combination: Citra and Amarillo are not a fashionable reach for the new, but a commitment to two varieties that have earned their reputation across decades — and in this DDH format, they demonstrate exactly why they still rank among the world's most exciting aroma hops. A Hazy IPA that clears the head and simply brings joy, from the very first sip to the last.
