Liquid Gold from the Cask: A Stout Monument!
When the Swedish visionaries at Omnipollo invite you to the dance, you know something spectacular is about to land in your glass – and Hopewell is no exception. This Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout is a true flavor bomb, boasting a proud 11% alcohol content and incredible complexity. Through extensive aging in fine wooden barrels, it develops deep notes of dark chocolate, freshly roasted coffee, and a hint of vanilla, underscored by a delicate woody spice. On the palate, it is oily, viscous, and wonderfully full-bodied, almost like a liquid dessert for adults. The roasted malts provide a pleasant bitterness, while the barrel-aging allows the beer to glide silkily across the tongue. Best enjoyed in a snifter at room temperature to reveal its full aromatic glory – a true highlight for every stout enthusiast!
