Probably the most famous dubbel and a style-defining example: Westmalle Dubbel.

The Dubbel from Westmalle is a dark, reddish-brown Trappist beer with a full and complex flavor. Spicy and fruity with a bitter-fresh finish. Mild mouthfeel and a long, dry aftertaste. The Dubbel contains 7% alcohol. Since 1856, this Dubbel has been brewed by the Trappist monks using this recipe. It forms the origin and gold standard of today's Belgian Dubbel style.
