Schwarze Rose Craft Beer
Beers full of flavor and of the highest quality, labels with unmistakable design: The Mainz-based Schwarze Rose brewery is really shaking up the beer scene in Germany! Whether New England IPAs, Sour Ales or strong Stouts: Although the brewery has only existed for a few years, its beers already know how to completely convince - try it for yourself!
From the shared apartment to the brewery
Schwarze Rose: That was initially just the name of the shared apartment where the three founders (who are all named Simon, by the way) of the brewery lived together. That's also where their love of crafted delicious beers originated, and thus also somewhere the origin of the brewery. Since the first brewing experiments were so promising, the friends decided to build a commercial brewery. It was therefore only logical that the brewery should be named after the residential community.
After brewing their first brews on various homebrew kits and the positive response to their beers grew stronger and stronger, the guys got the chance to brew their beers in larger brews at a Mainz-based brewery in 2019. Today, they are at home at the Kuehn Kunz and Rosen brewery.
More than just Haze!
Schwarze Rose have made a name for themselves on the German beer scene primarily with Hazy Pale Ales and IPAs. Their beers are brewed in a modern style, i.e. primarily based on New England IPAs. But by no means only: because Sour Ales or Imperial Stouts are just as much a part of the Schwarze Rose team's passions as hop-accented beers. And not to be forgotten: Classic West Coast IPAs!
They don't shy away from unusual experiments. For example, they brew stouts with Mexican smoked chili peppers or even a wintry IPA with pine needles and cardamom.
A colorful future
There will certainly be many exciting things to hear and drink from Schwarze Rose in the future. For example, a barrel-aged version of Santa Muerte Imperial Stout. Hopefully also more collaborations, because the already existing ones with Atelier der Braukünste, True Brew from Munich or Kuehn Kunz and Rosen definitely make you want more!
