Orca Brau

The exceptional beers from Orca Brau in Nuremberg are everything, but not boring. The brewery's range is incredibly diverse: lagers influenced by the beer tradition of Franconia, Pale Ales and IPAs to Brown Ale or Stout! Vancouver - Berlin - Franconia

Orca founder Felix vom Endt has already been brewing his exceptional beers in the north of Nuremberg since 2017. He sees himself as a creative brewer: he wants to enrich the beer scene with his beers and create new worlds of taste. At the same time, he also lives the beer tradition of his native Franconia.

Brewer and founder Felix first became fascinated with beer during an extended stay in Vancouver, Canada. There he not only worked in a bottle store, but also in a brewery for the first time. That was in 2012. After returning to Germany, he was drawn to Berlin. There he became part of the Heidenpeters brewery. He learned the craft of brewing in the basement of Markthalle 9 in Kreuzberg and stayed with the Berlin* team for over two years.

His first brewing equipment in Franconia was then also a symbol of his past: It was the old tap from the cellar of the Markthalle. After Heidenpeters had acquired a new, larger system, Felix was able to take the old system with him to the south.

Creative beers

A beer with tomatoes, with rosehip, with incense, with spices like fennel or coriander? It's all been done before by Orca. Here, no recipe is too crazy, no combination too outlandish. But above all - in addition to the demand for the highest quality, of course - is the question of drinkability. No matter how unusual the recipe, the beer in question should still be impressive, not least because of its drinkability.

With "anders!", Orca has an IPA in its portfolio whose batches invite you into new worlds of aroma with ever-changing hop combinations. Saisons and Farmhouse beers take you into the flavor worlds of wild yeasts. And Orca's lagers simply always go - true thirst quenchers!

Another flagship of Orca are those beers that Orca produces in collaboration with the Olinger winery. These Grape Ales, like all of Orca's beers, represent its creative approach to brewing.
