Yankee & Kraut: German-American beer friendship

Behind Yankee & Kraut are the two friends Bryan and Max. They met in Ingolstadt in 2005. Bryan, an American, was on a trip to Europe at the time and met Max by chance while drinking beer. The two immediately liked each other and it didn't stay with just one evening. Even after Bryan went back to the USA, he kept in touch with Max. He even returned to Ingolstadt every year. Beer connects people. Both are interested in good food, variety and, of course, beer.

The idea for their own brewery finally came during a visit to a monastery brewery. Of course, they had already drunk a few beers. But as we all know, that's where the best ideas come from!

Craft Beer by Yankee & Kraut

They started in 2016 with an India Pale Lager (IPL). In the meantime, Yankee & Kraut are known and appreciated for their juicy IPAs in the trendy New England style. But also Stout, Lager or Pale Ale is on the brewing plan every now and then. But also traditional Bavarian beer styles like Bockbier and Weizenbock are interpreted in a modern way by Yankee & Kraut.
